i there, Below is a list of the new features I have been busy installing/wriiting for the forum. 28 Apr 2007 03:24 am ATTACHMENT MODIFICATION - Full Permissions System - Able to add comments to Attachments - Automatic Deletion of Attachments if Posts got deleted (manual Delete, pruning, within the Moderator Control Panel or the User Attachment Control Panel) - Editing of existing Attachments. Able to Delete/Add/Change Comment and Update Attachments while editing Posts. - even if the local path for Attachments is changed in admin, all previous posted attachments will be displayed correctly - category support - special behaviour instead of just presenting a link - Special Behaviour on Images: Thumbnail Support Image Link Presentation depending on Dimensions Inline Images - Stream Files directly within Posts. Supported Types: aif, aifc, aiff, asf, asx, au, avi, ivf, m3u, mid, midi, mlv, mp2, mp3, mp2v, mpa, mpe, mpeg, mpg, mpv2, rmi, snd, wav, wax, wm, wma, wmx, wmv, wvx - Play Flash Files within Posts. Support for compressed Flash MX Files. - little image definable for displaying in front of Attachments and Threads containing Attachments. Able to define an Image for Forum View and for every Extension Group. - Maximum Upload Size definable. It adds a page where all reports can be displayed and the option to email the moderators when a report is made. Moderators can also write some comments about their actions on reported posts and full history of report actions is stored. 03 May 2007 08:06 pm View PM while replying Lets you see the PM you're replying to just below the input box, very like the topic review when replying to topics. 03 May 2007 08:19 pm Users viewing forum on Index This modification will add the Users viewing this forum section to the index. 03 May 2007 08:40 pm Temp Ban This MOD adds the option of temporary user, ip, and email bans for the Moderators 03 May 2007 08:59 pm Show All Edits This MOD will update the "last edited by" line at the bottom of a post when a moderator or administrator edits it, as well as noting edits to the last post in a topic. 03 May 2007 10:05 pm Add Moderate Button Adds a "moderate" button if the user is a forum moderator and is viewing that forum or a topic within that forum. 03 May 2007 10:20 pm Advanced User Search This is an admin module for the ACP system. It allows Searching for users based on their username, email address, date registered, usergroup, permission status (mod/admin), post count, userfields (ICQ/Yahoo/Website/Interests/e.t.c.), Language, Last Visit, Timezone, Moderators (of a specific forum), banned users, IP address (used to post), plus more 03 May 2007 10:29 pm Animated New Message Icon Mod This MOD will display a blinking orange "new message" icon if there are new private messages, a non-blinking orange "unread message" icon if there are unread private messages, and the standard icon if there are no unread messages. Also, instead of indicating the number of new messages it will indicate the number of unread messages (the number of new messages is still indicated in the alt message). It also gets around some phpbb bugs which cause the unread message counter in the database to be unreliable - that was annoying. 03 May 2007 10:55 pm Forum description in viewforum This shows the description of the forum when viewing the forum in viewforum.php just below the forum name 05 May 2007 11:44 pm Change Subscription Default When new users register, the default setting for subscriptions (getting an email if someone replies to your post) is set to off. This changes the default to on. The user can of course toggle it as he/she wishes. 05 May 2007 11:46 pm Email on Errors Emails the admin address when phpBB errors out - So I know if there is a problem with the Forum and can fix it immediatly. 05 May 2007 11:51 pm Recommend Forum Allows members to recommend your forum to a friend. 10 May 2007 02:20 am Save posts as drafts Allow users to save their posts or pms as drafts so they can begin a post or pm and finish it later. Since it is a draft, others will not see it until it is done. 10 May 2007 03:03 am Mouse hover topic preview With this MOD an user can see preview, when he/she holds the mouse over the topic in viewforum It showes the first 200 characters of the LAST post.In the HOWTO is also described how to preview the FIRST post instead of the LAST Post. Also in the search result screen you can preview the post (only when viewing topics) 12 May 2007 02:01 am Forum notification mod adds forum notification functionality to the forum, also adds some enhancements to the email bodies - ie. you can see the text of what someone has posted in reply to a subject you have subcribed to. 13 May 2007 02:43 am Statistics_Mod The Statistics Mod is a complete statistics core for the Forum - check out the statistics link at the top of the page 16 May 2007 05:46 am Full Album Pack This MOD adds a full Album system, based on several MODS. Features include: Picture SlideShow, Album Image BBCode ([albumimg]), Image Archive Download, Album Nuffload, Nuffimage, On The Fly Gallery, Multiple Uploads, Image Rotate/Resizing, Folders Upload Via FTP and many others... 17 May 2007 02:51 am Last visit This mod will register when the user last logged in, allong with the info about how many users have visited the board. 17 May 2007 02:58 am Admin User Notes This MOD allows the Admin to store Notes about a user in their profile. These will not be visible to the user himself, but only to the Admins. 17 May 2007 03:00 am Moderator view Notes Addon This addon to admin user notes will allow the Moderator to view notes in the users profile. 17 May 2007 03:06 am User Personal notes Addon This Addon for Admin Uesr Notes will add a Personal Notepad for Users in the profile, where they can store their own Notes for personal use. Admins can edit them. Basicly they're the same as admin notes, but the user can also edit them And they're not displayed in viewprofile.

It also shows their on-line status in the memberlist, so if you want to have a PM chat whilst they are on-line - you can do so. 18 May 2007 10:21 pm Alert Non-Registered Users Made a mod to alert non logged in users that they need to register or log in. If you are not logged in - you now get the following at the top of the page in BOLD RED TEXT YOU ARE LOGGED ON AS A GUEST. YOU MAY READ THE PUBLIC AREA OF THE FORUM ONLY HOWEVER IN ORDER TO SEE THE REST OR POST OR REPLY YOU MUST FIRST LOGON OR REGISTER BELOW 19 May 2007 11:21 pm Created a new index page. When users visit http://mbtbcforum.fullwavemarine.com/ they get a new page which advises them that this forum is a great place but they need to be members of the MBTBC club and that if they are members, they should register or they will nto see the forum correctly - public who are not members only see information about the club and have access to membership forms etc. The page also has a speil on the club, it's facilities and why they should join the MBTBC. 21 May 2007 09:14 pm Website_Check_Mod This modification checks for certain words which we can change and add to in the user website listing and if those banned words are used - it automatically bans the user and deletes their log on to prevent SPAM BOTS doing fake registrations - we had our first spam bots hit the forum today 21 May 2007 03:18 pm Active Members Only This modification only allows activated users to show up in the memberlist - ie. if someone somehow registers with a spam bot - they will not be shown in the memberlist until they are "activated" by the admin. 21 May 2007 09:19 pm Betta Captcha This modification adds better visual confirmation which bots can not get around and it easier on people to read. 21 May 2007 09:59 pm Hide Memberlist/usergroups/profile from guests. This modification HIDES the memberlist, usergroup list, view profile function etc. from users who are not registered and logged in to the forum - ie. better privacy and no point for SPAMMERS. 21 May 2007 10:26 pm FIXED BUGS CAUSED BY SOME OF THE ABOVE MODS. Some of the security mods made above caused issues where the "quick Reply" button was not working - now fixed. Also, the menu which comes up when you click on a users name inside a post was not working - now fixed. Stay Tuned - more improvements to come soon

24 July 2007 10:33pm After 2 hours finally finished programming a "Card" Mod. System - sort of like motor sport... Also known as "card system" This mod will make 4 colored buttons beside users post (red,yellow,green and blue) Red = ban, Yellow = warn(maximum of 5 warnings results in a ban, Green = unban, Blue = report a bad post to the moderators Emails are sent to the user, notifying about the event.

t's probably not required now - but when the rest of the club starts using the forum and it becomes busy - it may be a useful system.

25 July 2007 09:23pm Installed a new PM(Private Message) notification system which pops up a Java window(so users who have java disabled) will still get a notification that there are new messages waiting for them along with a little voice that says "You've got mail" 26 July 2007 10:31pm Installed a new system that allows you to see who has viewed your posts. Just click on the little "eye ball" icon in the top right of a post and you can see who has viewed that thread and the date and time that they viewed it... 27th July 09:29pm Installed a modification so that you can now press a new button located at the bottom of a thread "Thank Topic" button. This leaves a note under the original Author's post saying so and so has been thanked for this post "x" times by and lists the people who pressed the "thank Topic" button. 1st August 2007 11:32pm Fixed a bug from one of my previous modications above which prevented the thread subjects from displaying in each post.

Here's one I am really happy with... if I must say so myself! I UNINSTALLED a modification I made so that you culd press a new button located at the bottom of a thread "Thank Topic" button. This left a note under the original Author's post saying so and so has been thanked for this post "x" times by and lists the people who pressed the "thank Topic" button but you could not thank someone who replied with valuable info - ie. if you posted a question, they answered you with what you needed... So.... I did the following: MOD Title: Thank Post by User MOD Description: Allows registered users to thank a post which was posted by another user Installed: Tue Sep 25, 2007 3:43am Features: - Able to thank users for specific posts - View posts to see the users who have thanked them - View a topic and see the number of times you have been thanked and the number of times you have thanked other users posts
